I'm not really a fan of men's wear. I looked at a few collection and didn't find anything I liked. I finally came across something I thought was cool. Louis Vuitton never fails :).
Oh yeah and this collection is bike messenger themed. Cool right?!

I love this collection so much though. It's so cool, athletic, and urban. The models aren't half bad either ;). Did anyone notice some of these guy's bulging calf and thigh muscles? I also like the blazers with shorts, very cool.
I have to say though, I'm not really a fan of guys in sandals. Actually, I pretty much hate guys in sandals :(.

TeenVogue Haute Spot grand opening @ South Coast

On Saturday, I went to the Haute Spot's grand opening and it was crazy (in a good way)! There were fashion shows, performances, giveaways, etc. There was also a goodie bag with purchase. The volunteers there said it was worth $300, which I don't believe, $150 I might believe. Me and my friends got interviewed but we were so nervous we blurt out dumb stuff (so don't expect to see that video). Also, please forgive me for bad quality photos, there was no lighting although they had them and plus the models kept moving every 5 seconds.

P.S. I was too busy to blog about a secret and free PacTour show @ Fashion Island in Newport Beach. I wasn't able to go; it sucks. Saosin, Eye Alaska, InnerPartySystem, and P.O.S. were performing.

I like Dita's vintage style more than Katy's. Dita Von Teese's style just seems more refined and she seems more dedicated to this vintage style of dress. I don't really like how quirky Katy Perry's outfits tend to be. She sometimes puts too much of her own spin on the vintage syle. Yes Katy's outfits are often fun and cooky, but maybe sometimes they are a little too fun. (I chose not to display the outfits that were too fun, it might create a bias.)

Yes the L.A. County Fair is going on as we speak; but, why go to that fair when you can go to one wayyyy better?

Why not go to the Renaissance Faire at the Romona Bowl in Hemet, CA (wherever that may be)?
Yeah, I know it sounds kind of corny. It's different though. It would definitely be an interesting story to tell your kids.
I've heard talk of these fairs, but I've never actually known one to exist.

Is it just me or is this whole Bring it On thing getting out of hand?
I'm tired of them, to tell the truth.
I didn't think the first one was that; so, why make a one-hundredth one?
They all seem seemingly unrelated, which is pretty dumb to me.
If you're gonna make a sequel, why not connect them in some way.
Weren't all the sequels flops anyways?
They all went straight to video, and they all had small screen actors.

Royal Pains (the doctor show that substituted for House for me) is ending their first season tonight. I couldn't find the promo for the season finale, but instead I stumbled upon the Royal Pains Wrap Rap video. For the wrap up of the first season, the cast and crew members made a music video (btw you can tell they shot it at Divya's wedding or engagement party). Lady Ga Ga is so outrageous; and this outfit definitely fits her personality. It's pretty shocking that 8% of the people actually liked her in this outfit.

Everyone is making a big deal about this video. I've been hearing about it everywhere. I like but i will admit it's kinda weird, especially that weird arm thing. She tends to do a lot of weird dancing, although she's pretty good at them (i guess). i have decided to try my luck at sweepstakes. i was kind of inspired by that one Tyra episode about free stuff. the day before yesterday, i entered into like 20 of them. it took forever! i'm pretty confident i'll win something, hopefully something big or else i would have been just a waste.

I just finished watching the second new episode of Monk. Once again, I can say I was not disappointed.

I am absolutely crazy about this show. Monk has been one of my favorite show for the longest time. I love Monk's never ending ability to solve the most difficult crime's. I love when he says the famous "here's what happened" (I'm not sure if i quoted that right.) but I also love the crazy scenes that lead up to it.

I was sad when I found out that this would be the last season. I'm kinda tearing up right now, but also laughing because of the epsiode I just watched. I hope the season ends well though. I would love to find out what happened to Trudy and finally see Monk get back on the police force. Hopefully they won't end off with the problems being unsolved. :)

I love Adrian Monk, obsessive compulsive detective.

I have got to say this movie looks interesting (in a good way of course). I have yet to read the book by Elizabeth Knox, but I know I would love it. The movie is going to play at the Toronto International Film Festival, but I don't know when or if it releases in the US. I also heard some criticisms that some of the main key points of the book weren't addressed in the movie. Anyways, I believe Gaspard(Xas) looks incredibly angelic (you know because he plays the angel, Xas; okay lame joke, but you get what I'm trying to say.)

New Logos

I was just about to blog about something else when something on yahoo caught my eye. It was an article about how logos have changed. I found that pretty interesting so I would like to share that with you readers and kinda give my own opinion on which logo i like better.

I remember seeing the new logo for the first time not too long ago. It was perplexing; I didn't even know what it was at first, but then I read the carton. I like the old one better because you don't have to read anything. I knew it was orange juice because there was a large picture of an orange. The new design is also less appetizing to me and I love orange juice :).

This is obviously recent because I remember seeing the old logo like a month ago. I think the new one's kind of irrelevant . The new one doesn't really say macaroni and cheese to me.

Let me start off by saying: I love Starbucks. No other place's iced coffee drinks even compare, especially not McDonald's (yuck!). I like their new logo better. It looks like that creature was change from a chubby old man to a young lady with hair to cover her nakedness. I notice that they removed the "fresh roasted" part. Hmm... what does that mean?

The knew design is definitely better. The first one is just blah. I'm glad they added a nice pop of color. I also like the 3D thing they have going on too.

mess it up?

I like both of these logos. I like the whole vintage-y, renaissance-y feel to the old one. I also like the sleek modern feel to the new one.

I was just reading ELLE magazine and I came across something interesting in the ELLE 25 section. I the 3rd spot there is a picture that caught my eye, unfortunately I could not find the picture. Apparently "Where the Wild Things Are" has been remade for the big screen. This movie adapted from the 1963 children's book is scheduled for release October 16, 2009.

I've read the book when I was younger and I really like it, however short it may be. Hopefully the movie is as good and I look forward to seeing it.

I called the nearest Vans store to ask if they carried these, but sadly the lady told me they were "invalidated" whatever that means. Even though Celebutantes came out like a year ago, I just read it like 2 months ago. I really enjoyed this book a lot, even though there was a lot of name dropping and it got confusing. From Publisher's Weekly:

Ohmygosh I've been waiting for this film to come out for like months. It seems like a cute quirky comedy. Charlyne Yi (Knocked Up) makes a documentary on trying to find the real meaning behind love. Michael Cera also stars as himself in this film and so happens to be Charlyne's real life boyfriend!Also love the way Michael looks at Charlyne. (sigh) Geez, lucky lucky Charlyne. I just finished reading this book by Sarah Miller. Lemme tell ya it's all about being laid, but it's a good book nonetheless. Here's a synopsis/summary:

I usually go to Target, but today I went to Walmart on an errand run, and saw Miley and Max's new collection. The collection is affordable (from 6-$20) and some of the pieces are cute. I only bought the British flag one, because I've been on the prowl for some for a while now. Plus, they were only $7. I can't find anymore photos of Miley modeling in her clothes except like one. Amber Rose, Kaye West's girlfriend, is making a name for herself just by her sense of style. She is becoming a style icon just like her super famous beau. She has even been recognized by such high profile outlets like Elle magazine. Watching the X Games 15 right now. Just saw Ashley Fiolek win gold in Women's Moto X and Jamie Bestwick fall hard and also win gold in BMX Vert! Amazing I tell you, just freaking awesome. Aww man, wish I could be watching all these sports instead of on ESPN. The Home Depot Center is like about 20 minutes from me. Man these guys are catching some sweeet air right now. Gonna watch the Skate Street later because I'm an idiot and I missed it. Go P-Rod for winning first in Skate Street!! Woohoo!

Let me first start off and say: I love her to death but... (yes, there is a but) she's...uhmm...uh... let's just call her indescribable.

She just recently broke her foot while she was in Connecticut.
Her broken foot is going to drive me up a wall!!
My grandmother expects me to wait on her even though she clearly does not need the help.
I can carry her bags because she's on crutches but why should I have to bring her the water out of the fridge just because she wants something less than 15 feet away.
When her foot wasn't broken she never helped me, okay i wouldn't say "never" but it didn't happen very often.

Before I even started writing this she did the darnedest thing.
She forced me to throw away a napkin that had some foul substance in it.
She actually tried to convince me that I was the one who had that napkin.
And I didn't have it so it had to have been her.
She's not as sly as she would like to think she is.

I have weird obsessions with commercials; I don't get why everyone changes channels during commercials when they're obviously better than the shows itself. Okay, I'm a hypocrite, I do that all the time. Here's the my new favorite commercial for the Bacardi Mojito. What really drew me to this commercial was the song (Daylight by Matt and Kim) and plus the whole concept of the video is utterly fantastic (you know going back in time to experience the original mojito somewhere along the lines of that).

Geez. This song and video is both truly incredible and unique. I think I have a new favorite band. This song is LOVE.

That Darn QK

Like I mentioned on an earlier blog, it took QK and I a while to get the blog going. Now that we have, QK has taken the idea and has rum miles with it.
Lately, she has been blogging like a mad women, as you can see for yourself. It's hard to keep up with her. She is really starting to make me look lazy ;).
I think someone is going to have to restrict her :P.
But the real question is: will she be able to keep up?
Because school is starting back up pretty soon; will she have enough time blog like she does now? Who know only time will tell. And when her pace slows I will speed up and I will dominate and....jk. I probably wouldn't have time to be that crazy anyways.

I was looking for something to blog about and i came across the Mtv casting call page.
So, if u want to be on like true life or made or something you should probably go check that out. If you are 16 and pregnant they are also having casting calls.
It would be kind of interesting to know someone on these shows.
What I want to know is: where do you go to get on these reality shows where you get to date b-list celebs? Of course those type of shows aren't real, I mean has there ever been a happy ending? and for the average Joes, how do they even get shows? I may never know.

The Maine: Into Your Arms (Music Video)

I have been a fan of The Maine's for many years, ever since they released their first EP. A couple months ago, I saw on their myspace page that they were going to shoot a music video for their new single, Into Your Arms, and wanted fans to come out and be extras for the video. I was upset because the location for their video shoot was in Ontario (CA not Canada), and I wasn't able to make it because of the distance. But when I saw the video there weren't many teenage girls or guys, so I was kinda happy I didn't go anyways.

P.S. The photo above is of John O and I at the SmartPunk/Buzznet concert(a free one at that). Only John and Jared showed, even though the others (Garrett, Kennedy, and Pat) were my favorites too. Then when they were performing at the opening of the Strand as a whole band, I had to leave early. So that sucked even more.

This movie was CRAZY!!

I thought it was pretty hilarious, but more in an adult humor sort of way. I was laughing the whole time, except for the parts where I had to shield my eyes because of naked body parts that made quite a few appearances.

I pretty much expected everything that I saw, Borat pretty much prepared me for alot of stuff.

I just have to say "WOW!" about some things. For example: the fact that Bruno hired Mexican workers to pose as furniture, Paula Abdul was pretty umcomfortable about that.

This movie is definitely not a movie you should watch with the family, especially not the old members and the extremely young ones. A lot of things in this movie aren't fit for children because of the adult content. Older people shouldn't watch this because a lot of things in the movie would offend them. Everyone else who doesn't mind a raunchy comedy should definitely watch this flick.

Fun day yesterday. Got a lot of free swag. It was unbearably hot and sunny, so the pics and videos are not of good quality (plus I was shaking due to lack of H2O). Darn! Somehow I can't upload the videos so I apologize for that. Anyways, KSM and Hoobastank were amazing. The BMX riders were incredible and incredibly goodlooking ;). Met Alexa Vega and Austin Butler from Ruby and the Rockits (which you should definately watch). Alexa said my sis and I had awesome and cool names (ok a tad boastful sorry). Had to block out our faces; the beautiful people were outshining us. It was pretty much an awesome day.

P.S. Dave Voelker ("the Lord") crashed his bike into the barricade where we were standing. Oh yeah, be jealous ;).

Ohh My Aching Bones: A Rant

Yesterday, I went to Hurley's Walk the Walk fashion competition, and let me just say it's not one of the best events I've been to. It was unbelievably hot and there were half naked sweaty teenagers rubbing past you to get through the immense crowds. My sister, my BFF, and I edged ourselves near the front of the runway/stage near a group of obnoxious teens. What drew me off the wall was that they began smoking and asking other people if they had weed, not aware of the fact the rest of the nonsmokers would suffer secondhand smoking. We were just appalled at what our generation had come to, so we just bailed and went near the back. Even in the back people were smoking pipes and such; from the back we could see smoke rising in particular areas (one in the area we were just in). Nobody, not even parents nor staff did anything. The music was all rap (which I detest except if it's Kanye), but Shwayze was great. During Shwayze's performance, a catfight broke out between two girls near the front (also the area we were in before) and Shwayze stopped the performance to get them to stop. Oh the event was hosted by Sal Masekela and the celeb panel of judges consisted of : Scott Eastwood (son of Clint Eastwood), Wilmar Valderama, and 90210's Adam Gregory just to name a few. Lincoln HighSchool from San Diego won the competition. I came home sore and tired. I ached all over. That was my rant of the day. Hopefully, there shouldn't be anymore rant posts.

mtvU Sunblock Music Festival

The festival starts tomorrow, July 24th. The two headliners Boys Like Girls and Gym Class Heroes. The special guests include The Veronicas, Never Shout Never, & last but not least, well atleast in my opinion, The Academy Is.

Okay, the Private series are the best book series I have ever read so far in my entire life, and now they are making it into a web series! If you have never heard of the Private series, you have no idea on what you're missing out on. To brief it up it's about how a middle-class girl, Reed Brennan, enrolls in the elite Easton Academy boarding school to spice up her life. She encounters the Billings girls, the group everyone wants to be, and joins their clique. Little does she know she's in for the ride of her life. Drama follows everywhere she goes. There's murder, jealousy, lust, pyschopaths, deaths, drugs, sex, booze, etc. Reed has to pay the cost of being a Billings. Again, it's an amazing series and you should check it out if you already haven't. The first episode is the casting call and 3 girls vie it out to become one of the Billings girl, Kiran Hayes, a jet-setting model. Hurley US Open of Surfing: Hurley's Walk the Walk Fashion Show

During July 18-26, Huntington Beach hosts the US Open Surf every year. I'm not a surfer, but I come out to watch the event. There are concerts during the event at the Hurley Microphone for Youth Stage. Mostly I just come for TeenVogue's Fashion Live, but I don't know what the reason is but they are not doing it this year. Instead Hurleys' Walk the Walk Fashion Show is taking place instead. Talented and creative highschool students from across the nation come together in this ultimate fashion showdown to be able to showcase an original new line for Hurley. Fighting for the new line are Huntington Beach, Dana Hills, San Clemente, Fountain Valley, and Lincoln (San Diego) highschools. There will be a panel of celebrity judges and also a $10,000 donation. The fashion show is on Friday, July 24. Be sure to check it out and see which highschool makes it on top.

ZAP! POW! BAM! The Superhero: The Golden Age of Comic Books, 1938–1950

If you like comics you will not want to miss this exhibit. This exhibit will be occurring at the Skirball Cultural Center in Los Angeles ( CA of course). It ends Aug 9th, so you still have plenty of time to get there.

It explores the history of icons such as Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman, just to name a few. All of the exhibited comics were created by young Jewish artists as an escape from the political and economical troubles of that time. You will be able to see rare vintage works and there are even interactive stations where you can dress up as super heroes.

Coach's Poppy Party

Poppy is the new handbag line of Coach, displaying vibrant, edgy, and fun bags directed at the younger generations. To celebrate this fun new line, Coach is sponsoring with Just Jared and The Fashion Spot to host in-store events to kick off the summer. There have been events in New Jersey (Alexis Bledel attended), Chicago, and California so far. In each of the Poppy parties, refreshments (Poppy candy bars, sparkling juices, pomme frites, sliders, and mini-cupcakes yumm) were provided along with NYC DJs The Misshapes creating their own playlist. A "Poppy-razzi" photobooth let guests snap pictures which was later posted on Coach's Facebook. 3 guests from each party won themselves $1000 giftcards, but everyone who attended recieved free complimentary Coach gifts. I actually missed the one in LA (Costa Mesa) which is really near to me. Disappointed about missing the event, I decided to blog about it instead. Hopefully next time I hear of a big event such as this I'll try to let you guys know AHEAD of time.
