ZAP! POW! BAM! The Superhero: The Golden Age of Comic Books, 1938–1950
If you like comics you will not want to miss this exhibit. This exhibit will be occurring at the Skirball Cultural Center in Los Angeles ( CA of course). It ends Aug 9th, so you still have plenty of time to get there.
It explores the history of icons such as Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman, just to name a few. All of the exhibited comics were created by young Jewish artists as an escape from the political and economical troubles of that time. You will be able to see rare vintage works and there are even interactive stations where you can dress up as super heroes.
"Admission: Included with Museum admission (tickets at the door): $10 General; $7 Seniors and Full-Time Students; $5 Children 2–12; Free to Members and Children under 2; Free to all on Thursdays"
